Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lily Cole and Georgia May Jagger Will Take To The Catwalk For London 2012 Olympic Ceremony

Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lily Cole and Georgia May Jagger Take To The Catwalk For London 2012 Olympic Ceremony

Last week Grazia HQ was whipped into a frenzy with the news that Kate Moss has bagged a cameo in George Michael's new music video and today, we've caught wind of another Mossy coup: the London Olympics closing ceremony.

It was in June that we first reported on the fash-tastic rumour that Britain’s top catwalkers may be taking centre stage at the closing ceremony and today, The Mirror confirms our fave supermodels WILL strut their stuff. Kate is set to take the spotlight alongside Naomi Campbell, Lily Cole and Georgia May Jagger. Huzzah! Apparently the beauties will be flying the flag for UK fashion designers and donning Great British creations from the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen to the sound of David Bowie songs Fashion and Rebel Rebel.

And that's not all. The multi-million-pound extravaganza, titled A Symphony of British Music, will see a whole host of stars singing their hits from Annie Lennox to George Michael and Take That to Jessie J. Meanwhile, Russell Brand will sing a comedy version of the Sex Pistols song Pretty Vacant with Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders in punk gear, there'll be lollipop ladies stripping (oh yes) AND ballerina Darcey Bussell dancing as the Olympic Flame is put out. Phewf!

Kim Gavin, who directed the Diana memorial concert in 2007 and is creative director for the ceremony, said: 'We want to create a fabulous emotional experience, something people will remember for years.' We'd say mission accomplished. Not long to go now, folks!
