What Kate Middleton wore to the Olympics 2012 day seven: a Team GB tracksuit top

KATE MIDDLETON

The Duchess of Cambridge has been busy supporting Team GB today, attending the athletics this morning and the Hockey this afternoon. She's also scheduled to watch the swimming this evening - then we imagine it will be an early night! And what better way for a member of the royal family to blend in with the crowd at the Olympics 2012 than by wearing a trackie? Unfortunately for Kate, she may be sporting Adidas, but there's no mistaking that glossy mane and gleaming white smile.

As well as watching heptathlete Jessica Enis compete in the Olympic Stadium this morning, the DoC was spotted chatting to fomer Olympic champion Sally Gunnell. She then travelled to the Riverbank Arena Hockey Centre to cheer on Great Britain Men's hockey team as they played Pakistan.

KATE MIDDLETON

Kate caused a Twitter frenzy following a rare PDA with her husband Prince William at the Velodrome yesterday. The pair embraced in front of the crowds in celebration of cyclist Chris Hoy's fifth Olympic gold medal. We have to admit the smile on Kate's face as William reaches in for a hug turns us to mush. What a cute couple!

HATWALK: The Praise! The Sneering! The Stealing!

It’s all anyone has been talking about all week and it’s dominated the news in all media. No, not the Olympics, silly - HATWALK!

Commissioned by the Mayor of London, in partnership with BT, the British Fashion Council, the London 2012 Festival, and *coughs modestly* Grazia magazine… Hatwalk saw 21 hats by the best of UK milliners displayed on iconic statues across the capital.

The Evening Standard redubbed the sculptures ‘sta-hat-tues’ and called the project ‘a dual celebration of the capital’s heritage and its world-beating milliners’.

In fact, the millinery theme offered many, many opportunities for unforgivable pun s, from the Metro’s standard-issue ‘Hat’s Amazing!’ to our very own Major himself declaring ‘you’ve got to take your hats off to London…. Our city is a melting pot of creativity.’ (and let’s not forget that once the hats will be auctioned off to raise money for the Mayor's Fund for good causes).

‘How spectacular!’ was global blog god Perez Hilton’s nod of approval on his Coco Perez fashion site declaring Hatwalk ‘a great way to raise money and display wonderful works of art on iconic figures’.

Following the Hatwalk trail quickly became the fashion pilgrimage for the capital’s stylistas...

‏@RevivalRetro We are loving HATWALK

@oohladeda No money to take my woes away with sho pping so doing the next best (even better??) thing: the London #Hatwalk

And even our visitors from abroad were digging our sense of humour…

@annie5859 You've got to love British eccentricity! #hatwalk

Although some were a little slower off the mark….

@eevilmidget Oh. I guess those hats on statues are real. I thought they were photoshopped.

Erm, yes.

But before long the praise was replaced by the drama, with the HuffPo the first to report that our project had gone ‘awry when two of the hats placed on London statues went missing - with one being stolen and another "disabled" by a Westminster council street warden’.

Grazia promptly issued a Hat Amnesty for the missing stolen hat; a vast bunny eared baseball cap by Bernstock Speirs (above) stolen from the statue of Williams Shakespeare in Leicester Square. #bringthebunnyback ! [update: the bunny cap remains M.I.A.]

Admittedly not everyone was quite so charmed by our fabulous initiative.

Last-time Olympic hosts Australia just didn’t get it. Fashion philistines News.com.au asked ‘Is this someone's idea of a joke?’ and observing ‘It seems no one is immune to Olympic fever in London, not even those made of stone’. However it did note that Hatwalk ‘gave the poor statues a chance to swap pigeon poo for fancy couture’.

Well, quite.

But for our true fans, Hatwalk was a hit: including @GeorgieMHobbs , who marvelled ‘The London Hatwalk is like a mad PR idea we'd get laughed at for suggesting - but actually is awesome.’

It really was.

Thanks to everyone w ho helped organise the initiative, the magnificent milliners, and to all those Hatwalkers that took the time to stroll around Londontown and admire those beautiful hats.

And don’t forget, you can bid for your favourite hats with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s Fund for good causes. Watch this space for details of the auction! And that missing bunny cap...

Antony and the Johnsons Curate Meltdown!

The wonderful Antony Hegarty of Antony and the Johnsons fame (above) is curating this year’s Meltdown, a line-up of 12 days of music, debate and performance. It’s certainly an eclectic list – as Antony puts it, “mainly ecstatic female voices with a few queens thrown in” and features amongst others, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Liz Frazer, Joey Arias and Hercules and Love Affair.

Grazia was lucky enough to attend one of the opening concerts, a performance by Diamanda Galas – Antony describes her as 'the Maria Callas of art music'. Grazia likens it to an aural battering, but in a good way - ferocious mesmerizing vocals over her exuberant piano playing. Often sounding like she is singing in two voices at the same time – a husky baritone and a pie rcing soprano – she had the cool rather gothic crowd, led by an exuberant Pam Hogg, up on their feet chanting for more. Very Exorcist, it has to be said.

Tickets are still available for some upcoming shows – New York performance artist Laurie Anderson, Liz Fraser of the Cocteau Twins on stage for the first time in many years, Joey Arias performing his own man Billie Holiday Strange Fruit tribute, and a disco night to end all disco nights with Antony joining Hercules and Love Affair on stage. Grazia is beside itself at the prospect of hearing them sing Blind live…

WOW! Zara's New Jewellery Collection!

There was a mad dash at lunch time today by Grazia staffers when we posted these images of the new Zara jewellery collection on instragram. That’s right, high street heros Zara are taking on jewellery, whatever next! We couldn't quite believe our tran-seasonal eyes when from the sale-packed store of Summer leftovers, like a ray of light, their new jewellery designs emerged like a glimmer of hope and blinded us with some serious bling.

Rocks similar to something the late Elizabeth Taylor would adore, the jumbo jewels really are as jumbo as they look in the pictures. Perfect for transforming any beaten up old T-shirt or g oing head to head with the most printed thing you own. We love the finishes, the crystals maybe super sparkly but placed on a gunmetal finish, they are much more rock'n'roll than at first look. Just check out the studs, fluro and natural shelled pieces to see the raw edge.

You may ask the same question as we did, where did these come from? Why has Zara not done jewellery before? Well its a new focus for them so be sure to stay tunned as we expect a lot more tantalising jewellery pieces coming to a highstreet near you very very soon. To shop and see the collection click here.

Everyone's Wearing Carven! Rihanna, Beyonce & Victoria Beckham Go Crazy For The Super Cool French Label!

Everyone's Wearing Carven! Rihanna, Beyonce & Victoria Beckham Go Crazy For The Super Cool French Label! | Grazia Fashion

Bonjour! Now, what’s all this chicness that’s been dressing Hollywood’s finest, and our other favourite stars on the other side of the pond? Why it’s Carven of course! We recognise those cool prints and sexy silhouettes from a hundred passes!
Over at Grazia HQ we’ve been rather Carven crazy for a while now, in fact it’s always one of our favourite presentations at Paris Fashion Week because not only is it gorgeous and wonderfully unique- take a closer look at their perfectly cut, preppy shirt collars and impeccable, jutting out skater skirts- But it’s super wearable too!

So is it any wonder Carven has become the A-list favourite of the summer? We think not! Their head turning prints in easy to wear silhouettes- enter Rihanna and Beyonce’s zig-zag blouse and Katy Perry’s map frock- are ideal for making an entrance with minimum effort, and we love Carven’s sexy bandage style d resses and tops for easy evening elegance.

It’s Guillaume Henry, currently at the French fashion house’s helm, to thank for Carven’s sterling collections; he’s the man responsible for its incarnation, which took off in 2009 when the label burst back onto the fashion scene.

In fact his ultra modern aesthetic makes it hard to believe this hip, exciting label harps back to the mid-forties, but it was then that French couturier Madame Carmen de Tommaso opened Carven’s doors, dressing the hottest film stars, and royals of the era. Now, the 21st Century Carven’s ever growing ready-to-wear and accessories collections have been embraced once again by both the fashion world and Hollywood alike… So what’s next? Some 2012 royal dressing perhaps? …Well we for one would love to see Kate Middleton in Carven’s signature bow sling-backs!

Kate Middleton cheers on Andy Murray wearing her blue Stella McCartney dress at the Olympics 2012

KATE MIDDLETON

Another day, another Olympics 2012 event for the DoC. And she remains the reigning Queen of Fashion Recycling. Kate is cheering on Andy Murray at the Men's Singles tennis quarter final with her husband Prince William this afternoon and she's wearing the Stella McCartney vibrant blue dress she wore to the National Portrait Gallery last month. Her Smythe blazer with gold buttons has received its third outing this week, as Kate simplifies her wardrobe so as not to distract from the athletic achievements.

PRADA'S AUTUMN/WINTER 2012 COLLECTION: The Movie!

Of course by now you'll know that Prada's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection was one of the highlights of next season. We loved everything about it from the crazy shoes, the beautiful flower studded doctors bags, the diamond patterned trouser suits, jumbo jewels and the two toned hair. Love love love.

And now Prada have released their latest short film/ad campaign, featuring models Anne Vyalitsyna, Elza Luijendijk, Iselin Steiro, Madison Headrick, Magdalena Frockwiak and Vanessa Axente locked in an intense game of arty chess and an even more intense fashion-off. Or as the luxury fashion house itself put it….

'Set in a virtual game-space, two powerful opponents face one another across a fantastical chess game.

The movement of each chess piece results in a parallel movement in an alternate reality.

As the g ame builds to a crescendo, each movement on the board has increasingly extraordinary repercussions'

Who wins? You decide...

(PS why can't THIS be a sport in the Olympics, hmm?)

Kate Middleton Tops Vanity Fairs Best Dressed List

Kate Middleton Tops Vanity Fair's Best Dressed List | Grazia Fashion

Being featured on Vanity Fair’s International Best Dressed list is a pre-requisite for any starlet worth her red carpet Louboutins. Bringing together the world’s most stylish men and women – albeit with a slight bias towards American taste – VF’s Best Dressed come from the glitzy worlds of music, fashion and movies.

Jessica Chastain & Duchess of Cambridge Vanity Fair covers

Proving once again that she’s not just any old royal, Kate Middleton tops this year’s list – for the third year in a row, people! VF’s list judges were impressed with Kate’s high low mixture – Christopher Kane to LK Bennett – as well as her tendency to promote British brands – most obviously with Alexander McQueen.

Other names to get the VF nod include our favourite flame haired actress Jessica Chastain, Mission Impossible- Ghost Protocol actress Lea Seydoux, eco-fashion’s poster girl and boy Colin and Livia Firth, Farida Khelfa – the new ambassador for the revived Schiaparelli label, Brit model Poppy Delevigne and Diane Kruger – no introduction required.

Amongst the lads on the list there was a strong Brit presence with Eddie Redmayne, Ozwald Boteng, Richard E Grant and Prince Harry all notching up mentions. Other stylish blokes include Jay-Z, photographer Bill Cunningham and Mr Gisele, Tom Brady.

And aside from our Kate and Prince Hazza, royals did pretty well this year with appearances from HRH Princess Alexandra of Greece, HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, 4th in line to Monaco’s throne Charlotte Casiraghi and H.H Sheika Moza Bint Nasser of Qatar.

VF also treated us with a selection of different covers for the issue and we cant quite work out which one we prefer the most…!

Leandra Medine AKA Man Repeller To Bring Out A Book Of Fashion Memories!

Ask a fashion girl if she remembers that eureka moment upon discovering Leandra Medine’s blog  - The Man Repeller - and you'll receive positive squeals. Leandra, a New York girl with a major enthusiasm for fashion, dissected and celebrated all of those wardrobe items that guys simply don’t get: Harem pants? Flatforms? Cat prints? Pajamas? Geek glasses? Gladiators? Its mind boggling stuff for 99 per cent of heterosexual boys, and she's made one very cool living out of enjoying these room-dividing fashion moments, while being bloomin’ funny about it.

Since April 2010 she’s cemented herself as one of key players in the blogosphere and as such, she’s been tapped for her creative talents and distinctive voice for numerous exciting projects. As well as being a regular street-snapped star on the sidewalks of fashion week (and Grazia’s Style Hunter photographed her at this year’s Coachella festival), she’s a fashion commentator on TV and has even turned her hand to designing. Her most recent hook-up was with the equally fashion-forward jewellery designing sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder for an ongoing collection called Mr Dannijo. This followed a trés cool collaboration with ultra-hip French brand Maje.

All that and now she’s bringing out a book! According to an interview with fashion industry website, Business of Fashion this semi-autobiographical book is set to publish around September 2013 (just in time for fashion week, we hope!) and it will chart Leandra’s history of outfits and the memories and moments which they relate to. And judging by the online obsession that surrounded her Marchesa wedding dress earlier this year, we reckon the market will be keen for some Man Repelling in print. Cannot. Wait.

Kate Middleton wears Smythe blazer and striped vest for her second day at the equestrian events

KATE MIDDLETON IN BLAZER

We're a little disappointed that the Duchess of Cambridge's desire not to upstage the athletes during the Olympics 2012 means that she's sticking to a simple uniform to attend events. Today she headed to Greenwich once again armed with her faithful navy blue and gold buttoned Smythe blazer to watch Prince William's cousin Zara Phillips compete in the equestrian eventing.

Despite the cooler weather and rain Kate ditched her Team GB shirt in favour of a striped sleeveless vest showing off her seriously toned arms.

KATE MIDDLETON

She did eventually wrap up in a Team GB jacket.

KATE MIDDLETON, UMBRELLA

Before a very gentlemanly Prince Harry spared her from the showers - using a London 2012 umbrella of course!

It was a great day out for the royals including Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice and Princess Anne as they witnessed Zara and her teammates finish second place in the competition.

5pm Fix: The Sell Out Zara AW12 Booties - Back In Stock And Yours To Buy Now!

Only a few months ago when these amazing studded ankle boots from Zara hit the shop floors, it was love at first sight. Inspired by a past season designer fave, ahem,  they sold out like hot cakes meaning we were left with nothing but disappointment. Sigh. Not only do we love the sharp black leather contrasted with the gold stud detailing but cowboy/cubana style boots are a massive trend for the season ahead, so hurrah to those clever folk at Zara who have, unsually delivered another batch of this sell-out style. Don't risk heading down to store...we have given you the heads up, so click them before they go!!!

Watch Alexa Chung, Marc Jacobs And Laetitia Casta Speak At Louis Vuitton's Art Of Travel Celebration In Shanghai

Watch Alexa Chung, Marc Jacobs And Laetitia Casta Speak At Louis Vuitton's Art Of Travel Celebration In Shanghai | Grazia Fashion

Louis Vuitton opened in Shanghai just a few weeks ago, but the city has already held a huge LV party! Marc Jacobs, Alexa Chung, Laetita Casta and Poppy Delevigne all attended the Vuitton Art Of Travel Celebration to mark 20 years of stores in China.

This video of the event features Alexa Chung in a snakeprint khaki beret, Poppy Delevigne with a soft up-do and plum lip and Laetitia Casta with a gorgeous smoky eye; each of them talking about the amazing show they got to see (and that there are sneak peaks of in the video).

The stars got to experience the arrival of the Vuitton Express steam train carrying a hoard of models (plus porters carrying their LV luggage obv) in a fashion show similar to one in Paris.

The models wore retro inspired dresses and coats, with large jeweled buttons. Colours range from classic camels to fun glitter pinks. Accessories include patent b ooties and soft silk top hats.

The 50's vibes of the catwalk show were balanced with light shows projected on to the city's buildings.

Marc Jacobs said: "It seems like everyone really enjoyed it. I feel like I received a great gift tonight!"

Check out the event for yourself in the video below.

VIDEO: Alexander McQueen's Autumn/Winter 2012 Fashion Film By David Sims

As if Sarah Burton’s vision for Alexander McQueen’s autumn/winter’12-13 collection wasn’t other-worldly enough with all those undulating and exploding frills and feathers and horse-hoof boots, then this David Sims directed video for the new line will do it. The two minute fashion film stars Finnish model Suvi Kopenen – who is more than acquainted with the collection after opening the show in Paris and recently starring in the new campaign Sims also shot – wearing just one dress (look 30 to be exact) and the runway’s star styling piece, the OTT sci-fi visors.

There’s no denying the film’s trippy nature: it’s one part Superman’s Fortress of Solitude (you kno w, the spiky ice cave thingy) to one part pumping ‘90s tie-dye heavy rave. But McQueen and Sims aren’t the only fashion folk experimenting in the surreal film department. We recently brought you Kenzo’s pattern-happy cartoony Pre-Fall video shot by Quentin Jones (she of the Victoria Beckham vids) and a sneak peek at Tilda Swinton’s turn in a fashion performance piece out later this year. Plus, we’ve been LOLing over Lily Donaldson’s Fashion Fetish mini movie for Showstudio.com, too; she’s lingerie-clad and wearing a fancy dress tiger’s head. Natch.

So what exactly is going on in fashiondom right now? With runways chock-full of novelty items and cartoon-inspired prints, plus a celebration of the similarly surreal ways of designers Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli (not to mention the former’s imminent relaunch) going on the Met Museum in New York, it’s no wonder there’ s some funny fashion business going down.

Kate Middleton wears a lavender Roksanda Ilincic dress to attend a reception at the Royal Academy of Arts

KATE MIDDLETON

The Duchess of Cambridge already looked picture perfect in a preppy Smythe blazer and Stuart Weitzman wedges when she watched Prince William's cousin Zara Phillips compete at the equestrian events in Greenwich Park today, but she has just stepped out in an ultra glamorous lavender dress by London Fashion Week designer Roksanda Ilincic to attend the UK's Creative Industries Reception this evening.

Tonight is the second time in the last week that Kate has favoured a designer from the London Fashion Week schedule to wear to a public event as you'll remember she wore Christopher Kane to the Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony. This time the piece is one that Kate has showcased before. She was last spotted wearing the flattering Roksanda dress on her 2011 royal tour, which provides further evidence that the Duchess is a champion fashion recycler.

KATE MIDDLETON

Earlier in the day the Duchess of Cambridge wore her hair loose in glossy curls, but for the reception this evening she has it pinned back to show off her beautiful circular earrings.

WANTED! Information leading to the return of Bernstock Speirs Shakespeare Bunny Cap!

Bernstock Speirs bunny hat for Shakespeare

The custom-made Bernstock Speirs bunny cap for Shakespeare

All the hats for HATWALK were placed on the heads of the statues between midnight and dawn last night to preserve the secret until the very last minute.  However, when our fleet-footed photographer sped round the capital at as the sun came up this morning, one hat was conspicuous by its absence.

It seems that the Bernstock Speirs creation, a tremendous bunny ears cap for William Shakespeare in Leicester Square had been swiped! Too heavy for a pigeon to carry off, it is suspected that a late-night reveler in the square took a fancy to the headgear and climbed up to steal it.

Shakespeare in Leicester Square

Shakespeare simply doesn't look the same without his hat

If this was you, or someone you know, please get in touch and help us recover the hat! There will be a reward from the milliners themselves on offer for the person who brings back the hat, no questions asked. The hat is too big to be worn by a normal-sized person, so it should be restored to its rightful home, on Shakespeare’s head, where everyone can enjoy it.

So . . . if you do know where Shakespeare’s hat is, get in touch with us on twitter @Grazia_live OR slip us an email to feedback@graziamagazine.co.uk

Gallery: Rita Ora Steals Gwen Stefani's Style!!!

Gallery: Rita Ora Steals Gwen Stefani's Style!!! | Grazia Fashion

Everyone has one fashion icon who perennially influences their dress sense – and for most of us this styl-spiration was formed during teenhood. So we weren’t surprised to hear that 21 year old Rita Ora takes her style notes from No Doubt front woman Gwen Stefani. The popstrel told ASOS magazine, "I always thought she [Gwen Stefani] was so cool. I think I'm man enough to admit she made me want to wear red lipstick. When I saw it on her, I thought she was the prettiest person in the world."

And on closer inspection is does indeed seem clear that the young Ora has been influenced by the platinum haired style icon – who just happens to be double Rita’s age.  But rather than channeling Stefani’s Tragic Kingdom days – 90s grunge accessorized with a bindi – Ora’s reference point is Stefani’s solo era, which is hardly surprising since she turned 13 in the same year that L.A. M.B (Gwen’s debut solo effort) was released. From the beenies and bling look Gwen rocked in the video for Hollaback Girl to her signature leopard print and Hollywood waved hair, Rita’s style cues are easy to trace.

However, there are clear differences between the two styles. Where Gwen is meticulous about her roots, never showing more than a few millimeters of non-platinum, Rita’s heavy rock and roll roots are central to her beauty look. While Gwen worked that rocker girl style so beloved by Avril Levigne, you’ll never see Rita wear a cargo pant. So is Rita the Gwen Stefani of 2012? We say if you’d seen No Doubt’s brand new video for their single Settle Down you’d agree there’s space for two such amazing woman in musicland.

Juno Temple Talks Karl Lagerfeld and Designing Lingerie: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Juno Temple On Designing Lingerie and Karl Lagerfeld's Poet-Perfect Designs: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

When Grazia Daily popped to Selfridges this week to meet the almighty Karl Lagerfeld, where the designer was launching his latest collections, it wasn't just a chat about the perfection of Romeo Beckham and the wonders of Choupette that we were treated to. At the after-party, we also grabbed a chat with Juno Temple, THE hottest actress on the Hollywood block. With Olsen-esque wavy hair, a cheeky grin and nonchalant attitude, we were struck by Juno's super-cool indie style and you know what? The 22-year-old is one of the sweetest people, squealing 'how ARE you?' when we introduced ours elves. Oh, and did you know Miss Temple has aspirations to be an undie designer? And she likes to channel Marilyn Monroe? Nope, us neither. Read on for more from this fascinating rising star...

Grazia Daily: Tell us about working with Matthew McConaughey in Killer Joe.

Juno Temple: He’s an angel. Honestly, he’s one of my favourite people I’ve ever worked with. He was very kind with me because I had some pretty nerve wracking moments.

G: Some of the scenes were pretty intense!

JT: It was definitely intense, but I feel, intense is good. You know, we’re making a movie, I want to do intense stuff. And what I love about the movie is that it makes you laugh, it makes you uncomfortable, it makes you disgusted, it makes you happy.

G: It certainly stays with you.

JT: It’s important. I want to be part of movies that make people think and break norms. And that’s what’s so brilliant about [director] William Friedkin, he made this movie and he’s putting it out there exactly like he wants it to be and I love him for that.

G: Let’s talk about fashion. You into it?

JT: Hugely. I want to design lingerie.

G: Lingerie? Why?

JT: It’s about how women feel, the most powerful things on the planet. If you wear great lingerie, you can take over the world.

G: So is it a Marilyn Monroe vibe?

JT: Marilyn is a big idol of mine. I’m short but I’ve definitely got myself some curves.

G: Apparently 15% of women channel Marilyn in some form...

JT: I do like to wear Chanel No. 5 too.

Juno Temple On Designing Lingerie and Karl Lagerfeld's Poet-Perfect Designs: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

G: And what are your thoughts on Karl Lagerfeld?

JT: Extraordinary. He just makes clothes that make you feel like an individual, you know? They make you feel like you can walk into a room and you can own it. His clothes don’t wear you, you pick them and you wear them. I’m wearing entirely his designs right now and how fabulous is this outfit? I feel like a poet!

G: How long are you in town for?

JT: Forty-eight hours.

G: Where are you off to next?

JT: I’m going to LA to start shooting a movie. It’ll be fantastic, but that's all I can say for now.

And with that, she was gone. Yep, that Juno Temple sure is an intriguing one.

Kate Middleton Wears Christopher Kane To Meet Michelle Obama At Olympics Reception

OMG. Kate Middleton in a Christopher. Kane. Outfit? Of all the designers we've predicted the Duchess of Cambridge would wear for the Opening Ceremony of the London Olympics 2012 (McQueen or McCartney were our safest bets), we'd never have thought she'd have the fashion gusto to plump for Christopher Kane. But it's true!

Of course, when K-Middy does Christopher Kane it means a softer, more feminine take on the Scot designer's edgy aesthetic. Instead of a see-through plastic cut-ou t frock or a black leather crop top, Princess Catherine has gone down the demure route with a silk coat dress in a ladylike shade of what we're calling eau de nil.

The long-sleeved number features pockets and a belted waist, which Kate has teamed with a nude clutch and matching heels. Doesn't she look glowy? As for her notorious mane, it's looking as glossy as ever thanks to those tumbling brunette curls.

It's a fitting ensemble for a meeting with America's First Lady Michelle Obama (aka: FLOTUS) who is in town for tonight's swanky reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace ahead of the extravagant Opening Ceremony.

Is Kate Middleton REALLY Wearing Christopher Kane To Meet Michelle Obama At Olympics Reception?

Our good pals at What Kate Wore have noted that the Duchess' outfit looks remarkably like this design from the Resort 2013 collection, although less shiney. Could it be a bespoke creation that the lovely Christopher knocked up for her?

You'll remember it was back in 2010 that Mr Kane expressed his wish for Kate to better represent British designer labels. Speaking to WWD, he said: 'It’s a shame she doesn’t wear more designers. I don’t really like the high street getting so much of the credit. I understand that there would be an array because you need to relate to so many people in the market, but she is a princess. If I were a princess, I’d be like, "Oh yeah, bring it on."'
