Okay guys, we hate to break it to you: the last episode of Gossip Girl EVER is being filmed right now. Sob. But wait! Before you have a breakdown, we've got these behind-the-scenes shots of the very last episode being filmed. Look at Blake Lively doing her Serena Van Der Woodsen thang in a typically low cut, yellow pleated dress adorned with ladylike lace. And there's the smiley Leighton Meester making the most of her last days as Blair Waldorf in a suitably classic polkadot wrap dress. As for the boys, they're looking super fly too with the hunky Chace Crawford working a preppy shirt while Ed Westwick is sporting standard Chuck Bass plaid. Oh goodness, how ARE we going to survive without them?
The show is now in its sixth season (yes, really!) and over the years, we've become rather attached to the GG crew. Based on a series of teen novels and created by Josh Schwartz who made the OC, it first aired in 2007. Can you believe it? We can certainly remember those rather risqué ads when it first launched.
Since then our fave Upper East-siders may have had the most circular love lives ever (once it got to Dan and Blair we knew the end was nigh) but we’ll miss all the drama that went down on those Met steps as well as the excuse to drool over Chace and Ed. But, more importantly, it's the wonderful wardrobe that'll leave the biggest hole in our lives. GG is the most fashionable teen drama in the history of time, right? Granted, Eric Daman is back to his styling best on The Carrie Diaries but with a strict '80s theme, it just won't be the same...
Gossip Girl hits Paris
There's been that magnificent pink ballgown that Leighton wore while filming earlier this year, topped off with a princessy tiara, and how could we forget her Vera Wang wedding gown? When the girls hit Paris, they held up to the infamous European sense of style with wide brimmed sunhats and catwalk-edgy digital prints. And back when they started, all those years ago, headgear was a MUST from girly headbands a la Blair and boho headscarves a la Serena VDW and they never failed to go preppy with checks. Oh, and how could we forget Little J with her lashings of black leather?
