Inside Opening Ceremony's London Store

Inside Opening Ceremony's London Store | Grazia Fashion

Today is the day! The OPENING CEREMONY pop up store finally opens its doors to the public, and right in the heart of Covent Garden and a stones trough away from the Grazia HQ – lucky us! With the real Olympic ceremony around the corner the brand is waving the flag for brands around the world, some that until now have been unavailable in the UK. With brands like Marten Van Der Horst, K k jacques, Proenza Schouler, Maison Michel you can tell the selection has been hand picked with small stocks of each aswell as the stores own cool kid label, which makes major waves with collaborations such as Adidas, Keds and Chloe Sevigny to their name.

With this being the fifth store launch for the label in 10 years (they have three in Tokyo alone) we think this is going to be a mega year for Carol Lim and Humberto Leon the design duo who have already turned around french label Kenzo into a cult label and made the US store, the first stockist for Alexander Wang and Rodarte. If you cant stretch to the dreamy jacquard parka from Kenzo for now, there are trinkets and charms galore; gigantic pencils, quirky phone covers and jewellery pieces all under £15 which make for a perfect souvenirs. Fret not, although this is just a pop up store for now, the permanent fixture will be settling into its new residency two doors down, in October. We just cant wait!
