A Peek Inside the Wardrobe Department at Port Eliot Festival 2012

Hydrangeas for the headdress-making tent

This weekend saw the ever so arty and delightfully decadent literary festival take over the normally tranquil grounds and house at Port Eliot were taken over by a festival of creativity - we sped down on a long but very scenic train ride to St Germans, Cornwall to find out what was going on. And here are a few of the characters we bumped into . . .

Hannah Lambert at Port Festival

Hannah Lambert, Sarah Mower’s assistant in Louise Gray boots and a very special doggy bag.

Louise Gray in her own boots and fetching sequined frock, installed in her makeup teepee giving many of the festival goers a neon makeover with her selection of facepaints.

Bethany Howe is wearing a vintage outfit and stunning hydrangea headdress made in the Wardrobe department illinery tnet staffed by Fred Butler, Rosy Nichollls and Piers Atkinson. Her best mate Nicky Gorton wears Treads shoes and and a Topshop outfit.

Rosy Nicholls at Port Eliot

Rosy Nicholls was staffing the headdress area with Fred and Piers, we snapped her in festival dungarees and a fetching feather headdress.

Ayesha Linton dazzled us in her jazzy cardigan, Topshop dress and her headdress which she cleverly managed to find in her own bathroom. Wow!

Susie Buble, Fred Butler and Piers Atkinson at Port Eliot

Here are blogger Susie Bubble, props stylist and accesories designer Fred Butler and milliner to the stars Piers Atkinson posing outside some very fashionable tents, including one (left) designed by Basso & Brooke. (pic from Fred Butler Style)

After investigating some more of the site it was off to watch the fashionable Rubbish Olympics hosted by Christopher Biggins. Biggins really put the ‘camp’ into the festival, persuading small children to do roly-polys uphill and getting everyone to join in the fun on his megaphone. What a fun day it was.
